As for the renting of an apartment the cost of 1 room apartment starts at about 50,000 tenge per month (about 340 USD).

If you have international driver license you can use it on the territory of Kazakhstan (with the translation attached). If your driver license is national (only for Oman) you will need to exchange it for local driver license for the period of your staying in Kazakhstan.

The distance between Astana and Karaganda cities is about 200 km.

There is no direct flight available, so your first flight is from Abuja International airport to Frankfurt International airport. From Frankfurt there is a flight to Borispol International airport (Ukraine) available. For additional info about the flight you should check the sites of the airports.

There is no accurate info because the numbers are the state secret of Kazakhstan but the total strength of the regular armed forces of Kazakhstan is about 70,000 plus additional forces like State border troops, Ministry of Home Affairs troops and some others about 35,000. Main battle tank of the army is T-72 (the total number is about 1,300), about 3,000 infantry fighting vehicles (BMP-1, BMP-2, BRDM), about 9,000 of various artillery systems, air defense forces include jets MiG-29, Su-25, Su-24, Su-27, MiG-31, MiG25, helicopters Mi-24, Mi-8, Mi-26, anti-aircraft system S-300.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find exact information about the oldest Kazakhstan orchard. But I suppose the oldest orchards are located near Almaty (“apple city”), former capital of Kazakhstan.

Sure, for example restaurant “American bar and grill” (Kazakhstan, Almaty, Tole Bi Str., 41) and “Stetson ranch” recreation center (American and Mexican cuisine) located in Turgenskoe canyon, Ile-Alautskiy National park, about 80 km from Almaty city.

Dostyk or Druzhba (Russian)is a small town in Almaty region (oblast) of Kazakhstan near the border with China. Dostyk town is a point of entry by highway and railroad from China.

Dolon village is located about 60 km from the border of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site. Dolon village is known to be heavily contaminated by the first USSR atomic bomb test. The current population of Dolon village (7 km radius) is about 500-700 people, no information about land area of that village (pretty small I guess).
