Shymkent, the third largest city in the country, is the capital of South Kazakhstan region. Shymkent has been attracting travelers and scientists for a long time.
It is a good place to stop to explore ancient cities of Otyrar, Turkestan, and Sayram. There are such types of tours as historical places, exotic places, hunting and fishing, mountain tourism. In South Kazakhstan there are also saint places and architectural constructions which are visited by pilgrims.

Love the site, like the videos. When I look up any city like Shymkent for example I would like to see a transport link. I would like pictures of the airport and train station and links to destinations and times connected to them. Most important is a map showing them and other interesting sites on a map of the town, zooming out region. So if I was looking at Shimbulak, it would show its on the south side of Almaty and show bus links and timetables. It would have further links given more in-depth information and trusted tour operators. Good luck.
