Kazakhstan visa information
For traveling around Kazakhstan one should have a tourist visa which is granted by Kazakhstan embassy. Visas are granted on receiving an invitation mail issued by tour agency on behalf of Kazakhstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
There is a list of countries citizens of which can be granted visas without invitations, written inquiries are enough:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, USA, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, United Arabian Emirates.
Transit visas for crossing the territory of Kazakhstan (up to 5 days) are granted on condition that there is a visa of the third country (destination) and a ticket (train ticket through the territory of Kazakhstan).
Visas are granted 2-3 days after the documents are passed.
Foreign citizens and persons without any citizenship visiting Kazakhstan are to present their foreign passports (it can be done through organizations or persons who issued invitations) for registering at the police station within 5 days, except holidays and weekends. Beside police passports can be registered at hotels.
Conditions for foreign citizens entering Kazakhstan:
- Passport should be valid minimum 3 months after trip is over;
- Tickets and documents for leaving Kazakhstan and further traveling;
- Visa is needed;
- Vaccination is not needed.
