There is no accurate info because the numbers are the state secret of Kazakhstan but the total strength of the regular armed forces of Kazakhstan is about 70,000 plus additional forces like State border troops, Ministry of Home Affairs troops and some others about 35,000. Main battle tank of the army is T–72 (the total number is about 1,300), about 3,000 infantry fighting vehicles (BMP–1, BMP–2, BRDM), about 9,000 of various artillery systems, air defense forces include jets MiG–29, Su–25, Su–24, Su–27, MiG–31, MiG25, helicopters Mi–24, Mi–8, Mi–26, anti–aircraft system S–300.
