Climbing Mount Pik of Bektau-Ata

Bektau-Ata is a rock massif located 70 kilometers to the north of the town of Balkhash in the Karaganda region. This mountain area with an approximate height of 1,200 meters above sea level is known for numerous bizarre rocks, caves and small lakes.

The so-called “singing barkhan”, consisting of sand of light tones, has a length of up to 3 km and a height of 150 m. It is located in the Altyn-Emel National Park in the Almaty region, 182 km north-east of Almaty.

Ancient Petroglyphs of Bayan-Zhurek

Between the ridges of Bayan-Zhurek and the Dzungarian Alatau, in the Almaty region, there is a wide valley of Kaskarau. Its beginning lies at the foot of the Dzungarian Alatau, at an altitude of 1,800-1,900 meters above sea level.

Ulytau is a complex of low mountains located in the southwest of Kazakh Upland (Sary Arka) – a steppe in Central Kazakhstan, in the northwest of the Karaganda region.

It is one of the oldest mountain ranges of Sary Arka that stretches from north to south for 200 km. The highest point is Akmeshit Peak (1,131 m).

The beauty of Shalkude mountain valley

Shalkude or Chelkudinskaya Valley is a beautiful mountain valley stretching for more than 100 km at an altitude of about 2,500 meters above sea level.
